Sagar Public School

Sagar Public School began its journey in 2005 when the Shri Agrawal Educational and Welfare Society decided to bring a place of learning to Gandhi Nagar, a neighborhood that was then growing around the new airport road. Over the years the school has become a familiar part of the community, with many families seeing the red brick building and its well‑tended grounds as a landmark on NH‑12. Though it is only a little over a decade old, the school feels rooted in the lives of the people who live nearby; parents who once dropped their children off at the nursery now watch their eldest graduate from class XII, and the school’s alumni often return for cultural programmes and sports days.

Our values are simple and steady: respect for one another, honesty in work, and a curiosity that goes beyond the textbook. We try to model these ideals in the way we interact with neighbours, whether it is helping with a local clean‑up drive or inviting a senior citizen’s group to use our auditorium. The campus of six acres, with its trees and open fields, is kept free of the city’s usual smog, giving students a place where they can breathe and think clearly. The Atal Tinkering Lab and smart classrooms are there to spark a love for science and technology, while the sports grounds and dedicated rooms for music, drama and art let each child find a way to express themselves.

In the classroom we blend the CBSE syllabus with a teaching style that encourages questions rather than rote memorisation. Teachers move around the room, pause for discussions, and often bring real‑world examples from Bhopal’s own markets, museums and rivers into the lessons. A typical day might start with a morning assembly that includes a brief meditation, followed by lessons that are interspersed with hands‑on projects in the lab or a quick game on the field. By the time students leave for home in the late afternoon, they have not only covered the prescribed curriculum but also taken part in a debate club meeting, a science exhibition, or a community service activity. The aim is for every child to leave Sagar Public School not just with good marks, but with a sense that they belong to a larger community and can contribute to it.
