TGT Social Science Teacher Job in Dimapur, Nagaland | School Recruitment
Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging lessons in history, geography, political science, and economics for classes 6 to 8.
Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with the state curriculum and assess student progress through quizzes, assignments, and projects.
Use visual aids, maps, and real‑time data to illustrate social science concepts, encouraging critical thinking and discussion.
Coordinate with fellow teachers to integrate interdisciplinary activities, such as debates on current affairs and community service projects.
Maintain accurate attendance records, attendance sheets, and progress reports for each student.
Participate in school assemblies and extracurricular events, promoting social awareness and civic responsibility among students.
Contribute to the development of school policies on classroom management, discipline, and student welfare.
Attend periodic teacher training sessions and workshops to stay updated on pedagogical strategies specific to social science education.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of a Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) or D.El.Ed.
TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong command of the English and Hindi languages, with proficiency in local dialects advantageous.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting, preferably in social science subjects.
Experience in preparing students for board examinations and conducting mock tests is an asset.
Salary
Rs.17,000 – Rs.30,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
