Admission Counsellor – Vivekananda Shiksha Kendra, Bhubaneswar (m.corp.), Khordha, Odisha
Job Summary
The Admission Counsellor will manage the school’s admission process, guiding prospective parents and students through inquiries, applications and enrollment at Vivekananda Shiksha Kendra. This full‑time role requires a graduate with at least three years of experience in school admissions or related client‑facing functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to inbound calls, emails and walk‑ins, providing accurate information about school programs, fees and facilities.
- Conduct campus tours and organise open‑house events to showcase the institution’s strengths.
- Assist families in completing application forms, verifying documents and tracking submission status.
- Maintain the admission database, generate regular reports and update the CRM system.
- Liaise with the administration, finance and academic departments to ensure smooth processing of admissions.
- Follow up with shortlisted candidates, schedule interviews and coordinate admission counseling sessions.
- Meet monthly admission targets and contribute ideas to improve conversion rates.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport with parents and students.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail in handling paperwork and data.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with admission management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced school environment.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a customer‑service orientation.
Qualifications and Experience
A graduate degree is mandatory. Candidates with a background in school administration, counselling or sales are preferred. While TET/CTET certification is not required, prior experience of at least three years in school admissions or a similar client‑service role is essential.
Salary
The position offers a monthly remuneration of Rs.30,000 - Rs.40,000, commensurate with experience and performance.
