Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare lesson plans aligned with the school’s PRT Music Opening, ensuring progression from basic rhythm to structured melody by Grade 5.
Conduct daily 40-minute music classes for assigned classes, maintaining attendance and participation records.
Organize bi-weekly instrumental practice sessions using school-owned instruments like keyboards, tabla, and tambura.
Plan and rehearse monthly assemblies where students perform individually or in groups under your guidance.
Collaborate with art and physical education teachers to integrate music with school festivals and annual functions.
Assess students through practical tests, short recitals, and rhythmic exercises, providing constructive feedback.
Maintain inventory of musical instruments and equipment, reporting repairs or shortages to the administration.
Attend staff meetings, music department reviews, and parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in Music (BA/BFA) from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory for this PRT Music Teacher in Khordha, Odisha. Candidates with prior teaching experience in primary classes and familiarity with TET/CTET concepts will be preferred.
