Job Description
PGT Business Studies Teacher Responsibilities
You will design and deliver engaging business studies lessons aligned with the curriculum for students in grades 11 and 12. Your lessons must cover core topics like entrepreneurship, financial management, marketing, and business ethics, ensuring practical relevance and real-world applications.
You will assess student performance through continuous evaluation, including assignments, projects, and exams, while maintaining transparency in grading. Your assessments should encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
You will collaborate with the academic team to integrate business studies into interdisciplinary projects, fostering a holistic learning experience. You may also assist in organizing workshops or guest lectures featuring industry professionals to bridge theory with practice.
Qualifications and Requirements
A postgraduate degree in Business Studies or a related field is mandatory. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is required for teaching at this level.
Four years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in business studies or a related discipline, is essential. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an added advantage.
The role comes with a competitive salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, along with benefits as per school policy. This is a full-time position based in Nimapada, Puri, Odisha.
