Core Responsibilities
Design and conduct daily physical education classes, covering fundamental sports techniques, team games, and individual drills. Develop and implement age-appropriate fitness programs, including cardiovascular exercises, strength training, and flexibility routines. Monitor student participation, track progress, and provide constructive feedback on athletic performance.
Additional Duties
Assist in organizing school sports events, tournaments, and inter-house competitions to promote teamwork and sportsmanship. Collaborate with the school’s extracurricular committee to plan and supervise outdoor sports activities like cricket, football, basketball, and athletics. Maintain equipment inventory, ensure proper storage, and report any damages or maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Physical Education or a related field is essential. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. At least three years of teaching experience in Physical Education, preferably in a school setting, is required. A clean conduct certificate and a valid First Aid certificate will be an added advantage.
Compensation
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 45,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The role is full-time and based in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.
