Role Responsibilities
Teaching English at the secondary level means designing lesson plans that blend storytelling, poetry, and critical thinking. You’ll lead classroom discussions on classic and contemporary literature, ensuring students grasp vocabulary, syntax, and cultural nuances. Grammar lessons should be interactive—think workshops, debates, and creative writing prompts to keep students engaged. Assessing student progress is key, so you’ll conduct regular evaluations using projects, essays, and oral presentations. Collaborating with other teachers ensures cohesive curriculum delivery, while parent-teacher meetings help bridge gaps in understanding. The role includes administrative tasks like maintaining records and preparing syllabi aligned with CBSE standards.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in English or a related field. Four years of teaching experience, preferably in schools, is mandatory.
