PRT Dance Teacher Job in Patiala, Punjab | School Recruitment
Angels Valley School in Rajpura, Patiala, invites applications for a dedicated PRT Dance Teacher to lead its vibrant dance programs. This role focuses on nurturing students’ creativity through structured dance classes, blending traditional and contemporary styles. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for dance pedagogy and a passion for fostering cultural expression in young minds.
Daily Responsibilities
Teach fundamental dance techniques, including ballet, folk, and modern dance forms, ensuring students grasp proper posture, rhythm, and movement. Prepare engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum goals while keeping students motivated through interactive drills and group exercises. Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, addressing individual learning needs with patience and encouragement. Conduct quick assessments to gauge progress and provide constructive feedback during daily practice sessions.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Collaborate with the principal and staff to integrate dance into school events like festivals, performances, and inter-house competitions. Organize weekly or bi-weekly parent-teacher meetings to share student progress and discuss dance-related activities. Ensure all dance equipment is well-maintained and accessible, including props like mirrors, music players, and dance mats. Participate in school-wide initiatives promoting physical activity and cultural awareness through dance workshops or guest lectures.
Periodic Responsibilities
Plan and execute term-end dance performances or showcases to showcase students’ achievements. Attend regular faculty meetings to discuss dance curriculum updates and share best practices with colleagues. Conduct periodic parent feedback sessions to gather input on dance program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a degree in dance or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification for teaching positions. Three years of experience in dance teaching or related roles is essential. While TET/CTET is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role. Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of child development are key.
Salary and Location
This PRT Dance Teacher position offers a competitive salary of Rs.18,000 - Rs.30,000 per month. The role is based in Rajpura, Patiala, Punjab, with the opportunity to contribute to Angels Valley School’s dynamic arts program.
