About This Role
This is a senior English department leadership position at Delhi Public School, Gangtok. Day-to-Day Duties

Conduct weekly department meetings to review progress and share best practices with junior English staff.
Analyze previous years’ board results and design targeted interventions for weak areas.
Set and monitor internal assessment benchmarks for English across both grades.
Organize inter-house elocution, debate, and creative writing competitions every semester.
Coordinate with the school librarian to curate age-appropriate English fiction and non-fiction titles.
Collaborate with the school counsellor to address language-related academic anxieties among students.
Represent the English department in parent-teacher forums and open-house sessions.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in English with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with English as a teaching subject.
Minimum 5 years of full-time English teaching experience at the senior secondary level.
CTET or TET certification preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with CBSE English curriculum and assessment patterns is essential.
