Job Description
TGT Biology Teacher Job in Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu | School Recruitment
At Vels Vidhyalaya, we believe learning happens not just in classrooms but in the shared spaces of our school community. Nestled in Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli, our school is known for blending academic rigor with a warm, inclusive culture where students and teachers grow together. Teachers here are not just educators but mentors who shape young minds with patience and passion.
Working at Vels Vidhyalaya means being part of a team that values collaboration and innovation. You’ll find classrooms equipped with modern teaching aids, regular professional development opportunities, and a leadership team that listens. The school fosters a culture of mutual respect, where every voice matters—whether you’re planning lessons or organizing a science exhibition.
Your role will go beyond teaching Biology to TGT students. You’ll design engaging lesson plans, conduct practical demonstrations, and mentor students for state-level science competitions. Organizing field trips to nearby ecosystems, coordinating with parents during academic reviews, and contributing to school science fairs will be part of your routine. You’ll also collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate cross-disciplinary learning, especially in environmental science projects.
We’re looking for someone who is not just qualified but also brings warmth and curiosity to the classroom. A postgraduate in Biology with a B.Ed is essential, and prior teaching experience of at least two years in a school setting will help you settle in quickly. While TET/CTET is preferred, your hands-on experience in teaching Biology concepts will be valued just as much. A patient, approachable nature and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds will make you a great fit.
As a TGT Biology Teacher at Vels Vidhyalaya, you’ll receive a competitive salary between Rs.22,000 and Rs.40,000 per month, based on your experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance coverage, access to in-house training programs, and support for further studies. You’ll also enjoy a work-life balance that allows you to contribute meaningfully without burnout.
If this feels like the right place for you, send your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you’d like to join our Biology team. Share your thoughts on how you’d make science learning more interactive for our students. We’d love to meet you and see how you can add to the vibrant community at Vels Vidhyalaya.
