Position Overview
The NTT Art and Craft Teacher is responsible for delivering a structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate art and craft curriculum to children aged 3 to 6 years. The role aims to foster fine motor skills, creativity, sensory exploration, and cognitive development through age-appropriate art activities. Measurable outcomes include:
- 90% of students demonstrating improvement in fine motor skills as assessed through pre- and post-activity rubrics.
- 85% of students showing increased creativity and originality in their artwork, measured through quarterly portfolio reviews.
- 100% of students participating in at least two public art displays per academic year, with 80% receiving positive feedback from parents and peers.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a weekly art and craft curriculum aligned with the NTT (Nursery and Lower Kindergarten) framework, integrating themes from language, math, and environmental studies.
- Conduct daily 45-minute sessions with two groups of 15 students each, maintaining a structured yet flexible teaching approach.
- Prepare and maintain lesson plans, activity sheets, and assessment records using digital tools; submit weekly reports to the curriculum coordinator.
- Organize and manage an annual art exhibition showcasing student work, involving parents and community members.
- Source, organize, and replenish art materials within a monthly budget of ₹5,000, ensuring cost-efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with other NTT teachers to integrate art into cross-curricular projects (e.g., storytelling through puppets, number collages).
- Attend monthly professional development workshops and contribute to curriculum enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment; enforce safety protocols during use of scissors, glue guns, and other tools.
- Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records using the school’s ERP system.
Performance Expectations
- Student Engagement: Achieve a minimum average participation rate of 95% in all art and craft activities.
- Skill Development: Ensure 80% of students master at least two new art techniques per term (e.g., finger painting, clay modeling, paper weaving).
