About Vedic Routes Public School

Vedic Routes Public School has been a part of Ramnagar’s daily rhythm since we opened our doors a few years ago, but the feeling of belonging runs deeper than the building’s age. Many of our teachers grew up in the hills of Nainital, and families here have watched their children move from the kindergarten benches to the UBSE board exams with a quiet pride that feels almost hereditary. The school’s name itself is a reminder of the ancient pathways that criss‑cross our valley, and we like to think that each new batch of students adds a fresh footstep to that long trail.

Our core belief is simple: education should respect the land we live on and the people who live beside us. We celebrate the festivals of our town, invite local artisans to share their crafts, and encourage students to take part in community clean‑up drives along the Kosi River. The teachers often join the village panchayat meetings, listening to concerns and finding ways the school can help—whether it’s a tutoring session after the harvest season or a health check‑up camp during the monsoon. In this way, the school feels less like a separate institution and more like an extended family member of Ramnagar.

In the classroom we try to keep the learning lively and grounded. While we follow the UBSE curriculum, lessons are peppered with stories from local folklore and field trips to the nearby forests, so that maths and science feel connected to the world outside the textbook. Students spend mornings in the lab or on the playground, and afternoons often see them helping elders in the community garden or preparing simple meals for a local shelter. By the time they leave Vedic Routes, they have a solid academic foundation, a sense of responsibility toward their neighbours, and a genuine curiosity about the world that stretches far beyond the hills of Nainital.
