Shannen School, Halol in Panchmahal district is hiring a full‑time TGT Social Science Teacher. The post involves delivering the Social Science curriculum to classes VIII‑X, managing classroom dynamics and collaborating with departmental colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute lesson sequences that integrate history, geography, civics and economics, aligning with the state syllabus and promoting critical thinking. Conduct interactive activities such as debates, map work, project‑based learning and field visits to reinforce contextual understanding. Maintain discipline, monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to learners and parents.
Assessment and Practical Work
Design formative and summative assessments, including written tests, oral presentations, map‑drawing exercises and group projects. Evaluate practical assignments like community surveys and heritage walks, ensuring they meet prescribed standards. Keep accurate records of grades, attendance and co‑curricular participation.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate degree in Social Science or related discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed. Preference given to candidates who have cleared TET/CTET examinations.
Experience
Minimum two years of teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably in a school following the Gujarat state curriculum. Demonstrated ability to handle mixed‑ability classes and to incorporate experiential learning methods.
Salary and Location
The position offers a monthly remuneration of Rs.20,000 – Rs.40,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The posting is based in Halol, Panchmahal, Gujarat.
