- Teach Chemistry to students, creating engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to help them improve their teaching skills.
- Analyze board results and develop strategies to improve student performance in Chemistry.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other department heads to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Participate in school events, such as science fairs and workshops, to promote student engagement and interest in Chemistry.
- Contribute to the development of the school's science curriculum, ensuring it stays up-to-date and relevant.
- Liaise with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and provide feedback on their child's performance.
- Assist in the development of school policies and procedures related to science education.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A postgraduate degree in Chemistry (M.Sc) from a recognized university.
- A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
- NET or SET certification in Chemistry is preferred but not mandatory.
