Your role in the community
As the PRT Music Teacher, you will introduce students to classical, folk, and contemporary music from Odisha and beyond. Organize school concerts, inter-house music competitions, and annual cultural events that bring families together. Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate music into festivals like Rath Yatra and Durga Puja celebrations. Plan weekly assemblies where students perform solo or in groups, building confidence and stage presence. Maintain classroom instruments and create a resource corner for students to explore different musical styles. Attend parent-teacher meetings to share each child’s progress in music and suggest ways to nurture their talent at home. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to curriculum planning for the arts department. Represent Kmbb Public School at local inter-school music festivals and workshops.
