About This Role
As a PGT Mathematics Teacher at Shivalik Convent School Mohali, you will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to students in grades 9-12. Your primary goal will be to create an engaging and interactive learning environment that encourages students to develop a deep understanding of Mathematical concepts.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Prepare and deliver lessons to students in grades 9-12
- Design and implement engaging activities to promote student learning
- Evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Develop and implement assessment tools to measure student understanding
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Participate in extracurricular activities to promote student engagement
- Stay updated with curriculum changes and adapt teaching methods accordingly
Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in Mathematics from a recognized university
- B.Ed./D.El.Ed. qualification is required for teaching positions
- TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in Mathematics
- Strong subject matter expertise and teaching skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
