Role Summary
The PRT Dance Teacher will handle Grades 1 to 5, integrating movement with language and EVS themes. You will design weekly dance units aligned to the primary curriculum, conduct co-curricular club sessions, and prepare students for the school’s annual cultural day. What You Will Do
Plan age-appropriate dance lessons that reinforce vocabulary, seasons, and community themes.
Demonstrate steps clearly and break choreography into bite-size chunks for young learners.
Use flash cards, picture cues, and simple beats to build rhythm and coordination.
Organise monthly dance assemblies where every class performs a prepared item.
Prepare quick worksheets on dance elements for Grade 3–5 students.
Collaborate with PRTs to link dance with Hindi and EVS topics.
Maintain a class dance portfolio with photos and short video clips.
Communicate progress through bi-monthly notes to parents in Odia and English.
Who Can Apply
You need a postgraduate degree and two years of teaching experience in primary grades. A D.El.Ed, B.Ed, or equivalent is required. Prior dance training in Indian classical or folk forms is essential. Experience with primary learners in Kendujhar or nearby blocks is preferred.
